The Pandemic and the Contentious 2020 Election

It’s January 2020, the fourth year of Donald Trump’s presidency. A deadly virus has come to America as part of a worldwide pandemic, and life as we have always known it suddenly changes. There’s a huge economic downturn. We sequester in our homes. And efforts to control the virus are politicized.

George Floyd is killed by the Minneapolis police, leading to worldwide protests against systemic racism and other social justice issues. All of this is taking place in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election. It’s a perfect and tumultuous storm.
