Chronicles of American Politics: The Posters of the Chamomile Tea Party, 2010–2020

Google Arts & Culture

The Chamomile Tea Party on Google Arts & CultureView an eight-part exhibition of the Chamomile Tea Party posters on Google Arts & Culture, an online space where museums and non-profits present their art collections. The Chamomile Tea Party has become part of this great resource, and these exhibitions are the first time Google has shown contemporary political art in-depth.

Each exhibit weaves a narrative between these posters, starting with the rise of the Tea Party in 2010 to the Trump administration. The work begins with Partisanship on Overdrive, and continues with The Electorate, Politicians and Our Political Process, The Issues, Post Truth: The Contentious Election, Post Election: Post-Truth Reaches New Heights, and concludes with Immigration, Obstruction, Redaction, Oh My! Through image and commentary, these posters chronicle the changes that have taken place in the American political landscape for the last ten years. This is a unique and accessible way to study our recent American history. And additional exhibitions that bring us up-to-date are forthcoming.
